Joliet Unity Movement Presents: Documentary Viewing & Conversation

Joliet Unity Movement is inviting you to pull up with us for an important evening of truth, reflection, and real conversation.
We’ll be screening the documentary Black Wall Street: The Night Tulsa Burned, a powerful look at the destruction of Black wealth and what that history still means today. After the film, we’ll hold a community conversation connecting that story to our own local history through The Brown Book, a Piece of Black History capturing the community in Joliet and Will County.
This is about our past, the systems that shaped our present, and where we go from here. We’ll talk openly about economics, the Black Dollar, collective buying power, and what it looks like to intentionally invest in ourselves and our community’s future.
